Got stopped for running a redlight (just spaced it, I'd worked 11 hours and was like halfway through an hour and a half ride home) and going a little over the limit. Just got a verbal warning. The cop was very interested in finding out if there were drugs in my Mercedes. Huh, wonder why.

Because someone that's driveing an old Mercedes like that, is most likly under the influence of something.

I've been asked if I have any drugs or weapons in the car every time I've been stopped. Seems like standard fare police questioning.

I'd have thought the Benz was more the ride of the classy drunk than the tweaker, but I guess a W126 has a certain pot-attractant hipster air these days.

Never got asked when I was stopped in our Jeep Patriot. He also asked if he could search it, and knowing he wouldn't find a spec of dirt in my car I said yes. He didn't search it, but he could've.

Ah yes, I spent a few years in the upper valley... I remember the Lebanon PD having nothing better to do with their time.

Eh, it was a valid stop, I totally blew the light and didn't hit my brakes at all.
